Burn-To live
Burn-To live
The story begins
Plots fail to align
Delight and darkness
Intertwine
With pages left to turn
Chapters begin to burn
Wasn’t my cigarette, I swear
That summoned the urn
The story’s in the distance
The remains torn to shreds
I died 100 times
Yet failed to pick the threads
A new journey to embark on
Which story will set me on the sail?
Or should I look for a pen
To ink my own tale?
Ears begin to twitch
For a melody to waft along
This story must be born
Out of a sweet little song
I’ll live 100 times
So that the pages learn
Before a new story is penned
I still have chapters to burn
