Broken

Sometimes you feel broken, beyond repair, 

Drowning in a bottomless pit of despair.

These are the times when nothing’s going right, 

 Everything you‘ve worked for is slipping out of sight.

Even amongst your loved ones, you feel alone,

The sense of dread is never quite completely gone. 

You feel hollow and empty inside,

There is nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.

Maybe at the end of the tunnel, there will be light.

Yet you wonder, is it worth the struggle and the fight?

I know it feels easier to give up and let it all nosedive

But think, without the ups and downs, are you really alive?
