Bride of dreams
Bride of dreams
Out in a corner of the room, sat my maiden, my bride with modesty,
With her red satin Lehenga gleaming finely, her each stud sang audibly.
Her eyelashes turned down, neck dazzling with gold,
My Daughter has become a bride today, she had to go out of my hold.
Well embroidered, well pleated, her eyes were as deep as the universe abide,
The flowers in her bun scented the entire room, Oh Lord, this is my beautiful bride!!
Her hair, bunned together, tucked with the duppatta, showed her innocence,
Her smile made the entire room glow, I chuckled over her diligence.
She stood, looking most alluring, she came towards me,
Her anklets made sounds, 2hrs later, I wondered, she as MRS. was going to be.
Her henna costed hands, held my arm, I walked her towards the aisle,
The whole banquet stood up, with her one hypnotizing smile.
Ladded with gold, she left my arm to go to her own destination,
My small child had become a bride today, I cried with fascination.
She was mine yesterday, smiling and laughing to the core,
I shut my own eyes immediately, being a bride, my own daughter was lost.....
