In the boxing ring of the mind

Yet another bout between thoughts and silence

Snowflakes like thoughts streaming in

The flame of attention switched on in between

Thoughts retreat traceless, and silence settles.


Round one of the bout, silence wins without any doubt

Long is the day, what will win, who can say

The incessant bout of the thoughts and the silence.

Seers and sants they preach from a pedestal high

But I, mere mortal, hosting the bout, can only sigh!
