Bitter Or Better

As a joke was cracked, I began to laugh

As my laughter continued, it turned to cough

I wondered if I was attacked by deadly COVID

I fainted as my nose expelled fluid

I got back to my senses after a few minutes

What magic happened in those five minutes?

Almighty was kind enough to hear my prayers

When he responds, I get reduced to tears

I realized I was attacked by the mere cold

It is time to fight everything by being bold

Philosophers said truth is always bitter,

People always lie in order to stay better

As long as we live in a world of lies

We always become victims to the prying eyes

Many are busy committing a crime with sheer impunity

Why are we still talking about world eternity?

If they are able to make any financial gain

They wouldn't think twice to cause you miserable pain
