Beneath The Pain
Beneath The Pain

A stream of life-giving water is that life beneath the pain,
Happiness all year round for one and all beneath the pain,
Laughter amidst the darkest days beneath the pain,
So was that life now gone.
Hunger was no hunger beneath the pain,
For you made ends meet regardless the strives and the misfortunes,
When sickness sent you to your bed,
Food you still placed on the table beneath the pain.
Always a melodious heart you did present beneath the pain,
Your pain you concealed for another's gain beneath the pain,
Questions all in my mind that to date no answers to,
For you left that day no word of goodbye beneath the pain.
