Because You Owe It To Yourself!

Because You Owe It To Yourself!

No matter how hard you try,

How passionately you love,

How selflessly you give, and

How  intently you be there:

You're are not going to be enough.

No dear, you are never going to suffice his desires.

Who is at fault you ask?

His voracious needs or your mindless sacrifices.

Nobody's I profess.

And I dare you to challenge me

Because I know you can't.

Because you also know,

At the end of the day, you will run back

So fast that your groan with pain

You run back because you die to acquire a corner,

Just a corner

In the dungeons filled with sins;

Sins committed long, long back;

Sins which have donned the cloak of survival now;

Sins which are too hard to leave behind.

But love, don't you think

there must dawn a day

A day gleaming with the rays of Sun

Rays which hold in them the blazing confidence and not meek possibilities,

Rays that can preach back those forgotten lessons of life,

which can make you quit this horrendous battle for existence.

Don't you think, there has been enough of darkness,

Enough of repentance from your side ...

Just enough.

Is it now time, that you take charge of all that has been waiting for you,

For eternity now.

Is it now time to stop being enough for everybody else

And take those teeny-tiny steps of being enough for yourself.

Haven't you always known

That ultimately they're all going to leave

And you're going to be left alone,

Yet again,

In the very same dungeon, now cluttered with the evils of past.

So darling, shed those robes ...

All of them.

You donned to make them happy

And embark the voyage you deserve;

the one you've longed for,

The one that ends only when you are enough

enough for nobody else,

But only for yourself!
