Answerable To None

What I intend to do in life, I may not have a clue,

Happiness for most is not a way of life, but a virtue

The journey must be smooth, all choose a roller coaster to ride

For trivial things in life they struggle to claim pride

I chose to traverse an easy path, never aiming big

Be more courageous son, they preached "deeper must you dig"

I was happy with what i had, why more stress should I greet

Get out of nirvana young man, u will struggle to make ends meet

To satiate their needs longer hours I started to work

You don’t have time for me anymore my girlfriend said you’re acting like a jerk

I am one tiny person, how many expectations can I feed,

Anxiety and depression had already begun to breed

I need to take control, all wrongs I need to mend

All unwanted advises, even from the wise ones I need to fend

God has given me a gift, happiness in which I need to fill,

I decided to prevent the world from imposing on me its will

I will do what I wish, I don’t want you to care,

I’m willing to take the risk, let’s c how I fare

Life is not a struggle, you ought to have fun

Remember it’s between you and god, you’re answerable to none.
