 killjoy   regret   life   sad   people   smile   peace 

All my life

been a killjoy

brutal with a few

and bringing tears on

handful of faces

 

The cycle continued

accidents happening again

this messenger of pain

never done a thing

to wipe a tear

bring a smile or herald joy

 

Times haven’t changed

live I with the hope

that there will be a time

when I can rest in peace

having brought joy

in some soul
