A Wake Up Call
A Wake Up Call
I’m breathing in air but, no words are leaving out.
Correction: I’ve been inhaling something that is supposed to feel like air,
What’s coming out, should have been words,
But, it’s only my choked up voice.
Intensely missing that airy, husky voice of mine,
It made me achieve so much in life.
There are lesser trees and more of a jungle made of concrete around,
As I open the window each morning,
I hear the commotion of traffic instead of the songs of a lark, that should have come pouring.
Everyone’s smile is covered by a mask,
Expecting breathable air at least, once in a while,
Is that too much to ask for?
In place of clothes and accessories,
Been searching for air purifying plants online,
Everything is messed up, you’re dating to ask me if all is fine?
The least that you can do to bring your senses back to life,
Take the first step before you regret,
Please, for God’s sake, this planet is equally other creatures’ as much as it is yours and mine!
