Is frightful

Especially when

you have to travel alone

You have to look after your belongings 

Plus take care of your surroundings

Be careful with strangers

As they can create a hell

You don't sleep the whole night

Because of your belongings

Fearful and careful

Because of many things

The train passes through many stations

You wait patiently In your seat

And doze away for some time

The train journey testing your patience

The chug of the train

Always running in your head

You with your walkman

Lying in your seat

A whole day passes

For your station to come

When your station comes

You pay the 'cooli' a sum

No one arrives at the station

To pick you up

Plus the place is new

Scared are you

Somehow, you reach your destination

Being careful all the while

And feel relieved

Sound and safe

However, you feel very unwelcome

At that place

Miserable and uncomfortable

Yet it was your fate!
