A Lost Soul
A Lost Soul
Just like a withering rose
Or maybe as an empty prose
She wanders aimlessly in search of peace
Wondering since when did destiny become such a tease
Passers-by hawk shamelessly at her disheveled state
A few take her as a victim of a cruel fate
Nobody bothers to search for what once was a pretty face
Of her older life, she shows not one trace
For, once she had known how to love
For, once she used to be known as a little dive
Now she knows those were dreams she was never meant to see
Now she knows happily ever after was never meant to be
Today she is just a shadow of a lost soul
The beating heart is now a gaping hole
Do not ask her if her beautiful past
For her reply will be, nothing ever lasts.
