World peace

Let us all spur one another

towards a single goal

uproot bitterness in minds

sow seeds of love

that will bear fruits

of tolerance, compassion

for those having less

encouraging the downtrodden

to rise, be self reliant

instead of waiting for

doles from governments 

and get trapped forever 

in state of nothingness.

Let us spur one another

to commit banning all

arms deals, even if it means

profiteers are displeased

Urge nations to quit

stacking nuclear weapons

so no threats are perceived

and doubts in minds 

are broken like wall in Berlin 

Encourage one another to meet

which doesn't happen it seems

for we are so caught up

in climbing stairs steep

forgetting the child in us

left behind to weep
