Sleeping and being at peace in the night.

Shutting myself out of the light.

Favourite line,

Telling myself I’m fine.

Favourite story by me,

The feelings we never reveal, sour like lime.

Favourite shade,

Everything black and red.

Favourite place,

My thought-filled bed.

Favourite show,

The so-called friendship in my life.

Favourite drink to go,

The tears when I cry.

Favourite food,

The lectures and speeches so long.

Favourite mood,

The long stares and sad songs.

Favourite gift,

Not to feel any pain and into the sea I can drift.

Favourite birthday,

When I didn’t wish to drift away.

Favourite shop,

The one from which I steal smiles,

And no one calls the cops on me,

And then I can buy happy lies,

And no one there to tell me it’s expensive or stops me.

Favourite trip,

The places my mind goes in a state of rest.

Happiness I can grip,

But I feel like a temporary guest.

Favourite game,

High school and chess.

Favourite person or face,

Someone I don’t want to drag in my mess.

Favourite memory,

When I didn’t have to worry.

Favourite moment of bliss,

When I wouldn’t be afraid to give happy a goodbye kiss.

Hope to play this again,

When maybe happiness I have gained,

When peace that my heart craves, it gets;

There will be more simple favourites.
