Under a dark and gloomy sky,

Echoes of sadness reverberate by,

My soul wrapped in despair's cruel hold,

Mourning sets in, a story yet untold.

In my heart, unbridled grief's embrace,

Rises from the flames, life's no more grace,

Colour, flavour all have died away,

We must accept this sore display.

Cruel parting in a void of emotion,

Your absence a chasm, pain and commotion,

Soft words spoken, wisdom and generosity,

Goodness sown then, now filled with misery.

Radiant smiles once lit up our days,

Life with you an alley of blissful craze,

Memories filled with joy and mirth,

Now harbours grief that rules over birth.

Staring up at stars in night sky,

Searching for a sign, something to spy,

Feel your presence one more time,

For hope can soothe sadness' crime.

Days go by, no kindness heard,

Emptiness grows, pain's an absurd,

Memories piling up like a mound,

In my suffering being all around.

Dreams show you, bursting with life,

Your eternal smile giving us rife,

But when I wake, reality kills,

Grief's strike, long, lasts until ills.

Flowers lay on your grave with love,

Prayers uttered, doves from above,

Close to me, in infinite blues,

Hope one day, we will be fused.

Grief a storm in hearts fall,

Keep the honour burning, stand tall,

Live up to ideals and share love,

Your legacy a torch from high above.

Pain overwhelms, words remembered,

Must go on and life surrendered,

Celebrate memory with love's bliss,

Share verses, just like a troubadou's.

Name resounds forever in the skies,

Your soul in peace, in infinite blues lies,
