Still Miss Those Stairs

Still Miss Those Stairs

I miss those stairs...

Those stairs on which we used to sit,

With a silence that could last till eternity,

Probably was awkward for her,

But was comforting for me,

Just by the presence of her,

That I wished lasted for lifelong,

Then I used to start a topic,

Some random topic to break the silence,

Just to hear her sweet voice,

But she would just smile,

And I would smile too,

I wished the moment to freeze,

And it did but with the awkward silence,

Silence that felt to last longer,

Then I tried to crack a joke,

A lame joke,

To which she used to still laugh,

Not on the joke but on me,

And I was helplessly sitting,

Sitting on those stairs with a peace of mind,

That was brought by her smile,

Oh I miss those stairs.
