Dear Little Birdie
Dear Little Birdie
One of the unique creations of "God" is,
The colourful winged little birds
With awe, I watch them gathered in bushes,
Shuffling their beautiful feathers
Looking at you dear little birdie,
I wish I were among you
Merrily making my tiny nest,
In the tree next to you
Not bothered about the bustle of the world,
Far from the madding crowd
Happy to be in the company of winged friends,
Making chirpy sound
Seeing you fly high up in the sky,
Along with the moving cloud
I wonder, you must be feeling,
All powerful and proud
Dear little Birdie, I wish you could,
Tuck me in your wings
Let me also experience,
The joy that flying brings
Your chirping sound announces the dawn,
Is music to the ears
It refreshes me to face the world,
And puts me in the gear
Sitting amidst bushes,
And the dew drops on the leaf
You make a pretty fresh picture,
To the world dragged out of sleep
Unlike you, we pass our life,
Worrying what future holds
In the bargain, we miss out on the,
Small pleasures that life holds
On the contrary, you feathered folks,
Live in the moment, the day
We must learn a thing or two,
To keep our worries at bay
