Woods

Once 

The long stretch of the road,

Ended somewhere in the woods.

With all I had with me,

I stood there with brood.

With no known likelihood

I waited for the moon.

To shine the river 

That I only heard but never understood 

With a sigh, I searched for fire

And an unmastered shelter to hire 

Waited for the sun to rise 

The only way to dry my cries

And now I master the woods,

With sun and moon: my friends from childhood

I know the way out now 

But that will be the way which will lead me to plagued routes.
