One Last Time
One Last Time
How must it feel,
When parting lovers lie,
In the arms of their lovers,
For one last time.
On her chest like a flowery bed
In the end of a journey, bitter sweet.
When the sun would stay down late,
Confusing the morning walkers and the chirping birds
Changing the rules of nature
For this night must last a little bit longer
And in the arms of lovers
Must they feel
A little bit stronger
For One last time,
How must it feel?
In remembrance of that moment,
Clear as day,
When only warm breaths met
And hearts stayed astray.
When you force open sleepy eyes,
To look at this moment and memorize,
To caress his hairs
And look at the leftovers of love in his eyes,
To feel the grip of his hands wrapped around your waist like a kid
In his mother's lap
To feel the warmth of his skin,
And stop reckless mornings inconsiderate of his nap
Tomorrow he'll be gone,
Forever to not be yours
With his lessons to teach
In a different skin, a different heartbeat.
With his memories of love forever out of reach,
And you must awaken the next day,
In the dark remembrance of the night
When you let him lay down in your arms
Feeling how must it feel
For one last time.
