Mother and I, Like A Moon And The Star
Mother and I, Like A Moon And The Star
The summer heat has kept us
Indoor, but for water to drink.
Winter winds kept us again,
Indoor to burn the leftover coal.
Did I say a leftover?
Yes, the leftovers,
Shared by our Owners,
Just because, it's a leftover dryness.
And did you hear, Our Owners?
Again you heard it right,
I go to school,
That school, to clean the desks.
And Maa travels,
Like those Gypsies, being
Pried by the vultures,
House to house, to "The Royal families."
The Royal who don't
Respect her loyalty,
And this is our
Morning stories.
Well, as the Moon steps in
And, the Stars adorn the Night Sky,
Ma and I are together,
Under the Same Roof.
That roof, waiting to
Ignite the warmness,
With the shooting stars,
Keeping the Winter at Bay.
And it's only
Ma and I, like a Moon and the Star, sharing
Our Stories, the whole night,
Guarded by the Fire, lit by Our Moon.
