The Treasure That Never Was
The Treasure That Never Was
Once in my room, I found a box made of gold,
I wondered- what did it hold?
There was a note which said,
'Don't open, or you'll lose your head!'
But I paid no heed,
And inside, I found a seed.
Of colour it was blue,
In some places purple too.
The seed had a partition,
Which I opened in anticipation.
Inside was a map of treasure,
Much to my immense pleasure.
I followed the directions,
And went in the right directions.
At last I fund my destination,
And danced around it in celebration.
I began digging the place,
Sweat piling on my face.
Finally, I discovered an old box,
Which had many locks.
On each was written-
'APRIL FOOL, YOU CHICKEN!'
