From grain to grain you fed us all

With Penny to penny took care of us

To get things really done for us 

And to provide us with food , clothing, shelter

And to educate all of us

And the reason was always for us 

The letters you used to write to borrow 

So that we always had food for today and tomorrow.

We've been thru some really hard times as we grew 

And if really wasn't for you 

The road wouldn't have never ended

We made it really hard for you at times 

But you had you're ways with us 

Stern and strict and caned us too 

But you took really good care of us 

And Love us dearly too

The words you use to say to us 

All those phrases and those songs 

That you told and sang for us

Are all just fond memories for us all

Ain't nobody gonna take your place 

Which is deep right in my heart 

For all the things you done for us 

All the things you've said and done.

The words that you had to hear 

Still you brought us up safely till here.

In our up and downs you were always there.
