Turtle Treatments

The little boy with cancer catches the turtles from our rocks by the lake. To pay the doctors, the boy's father sells the turtles' shells.

But first, the dad removes the turtles' bodies by dismembering them, then setting them in ant beds. Cosmic justice? Revenge? Which, I can never quite decide
