Trunky’s Birthday on the lake

Dots the giraffe, stripes the zebra, boo the monkey and trunky the elephant were all very excited. It was Trunky’s birthday and the friends had decided to celebrate it via a picnic at the lake.

‘Yaay we will be going boating on the lake’, jumped up Trunky up and down. 

“What kind of a boat are we going on?”,asked Boo. 

“Who will drive the boat?”, asked Trunky.

‘You don’t drive a boat, you sail it or you roe it”, said Stripes.

Dots pointed to the lakeside where rows of brightly coloured boats were bobbing in the water.  “See those are the boats we will be going on, they are called paddle boats”, explained Dots.

“Paddle boat meaning?”, asked Trunky confused.

“How will we row the boat?”, asked Boo.

“Rowing a paddle boat is like riding a cycle but only on water”, explained Dots pointing to the row of boats on the lake.

“Yaay, lets go”, jumped Boo.

All the friends climbed into the boat. The boat had four seats. Next to each seat was the paddle. 

“Here, place your feet on the paddle and start cycling with 2 legs, like this”. explained Dots.

All Friends started rowing the boat. 

“See there is a duck swimming”, pointed Stripes.

Soon after rowing they reached the island. 

All friends got off the boat. 

“Trunky close your eyes”, shouted Stripes closing Trunky’s eyes.

The friends walked Trunky to the tree under which the birthday cake ans snacks were laid.

All the friends shouted, “Happy Birthday Trunky, open your eyes!”

The friends celebrated Trunky’s birthday on the island with cake, snacks and a big party.
