True Love

My 10th story - TRUE LOVE 

This story happened in 1998 - 2020 

In 1998, in Chennai there was a married couple (husband's name was Swami and wife's name was Chitra). Swami was working in a government job and Chitra was a housewife. They got twin sons named Raju and Siva. But Swami wanted to have one daughter. So after 4 years, they got one girl (name was Hema). So after that, they lived happily. All did their duties correctly and enjoyed a lot in holidays. But Swami was little strict to his children and Chitra was more friendly. 

When boys finished their school life, one day evening swami came home with some chaat, so they all were having it and they were talking with each other. That time Swami adviced his children about everything in this society (caste system) and about his father who worked in Indian army, officer who died for India. Swami “I had a dream to be an army officer but I failed in the last test so I got a job in government. So I am a little strict to you all, I will be happy if any one son can fulfill my dreams”. The boys smiled. After that life was going on in a normal way.  

One day they went for a movie, in that movie hero was an army officer who had a love marriage, so no parent supported and he died in last scene of the movie, so Indian government gave gold, some money and government job to one member of the family and the his family was proud. After that movie, in the car Raju and Siva were discussing about that movie. Raju “I like the hero who gave his life for nation, I want to be an army officer”. But Siva “I did not like it, because after hero's death, who will take care of his wife and children”. Raju felt that Siva was correct. After that day, they were back to normal life and they studied well in college. 

In April 2018, after college timings, Swami joined his sons in the gym and asked them to write army entry exam. So they tried for it. So one day when Raju and Siva came back home from gym. Siva told that “I am just doing it for our father's completion. I don't want to become an army officer, so I am planning to fail in exam. I wabt to be with our family”. Raju told “I very much want to write this exam and I want to be an army officer within 2 months and serve for our nation”. The army's exam result was out next month and Raju was selected but Siva was not selected. So Swami and Chitra were happy. So they told Raju to join army next month. Raju was happy. Siva told their parents “I want join work in Chennai and live with you all”. Parents told OK for it. So family helped Raju to pack his bag since he was going to Jammu and Kashmir next month. 

In June, Raju reached army office and he started his duty. His senior officer major Mohammed was a very good leader. Since Mohammed was leading this new batch, he told his joiners to write a personal diary. Mohammed said “we do not know that we will see our family in future. If we see it is OK or if not they can read our daily diary and know how we are feeling here”. So Raju started to write. In first page, he wrote who told him to write a personal diary and why he is writing. Raju did well in his duties. So Raju asked Mohammed the same questions which Siva asked about who will take care hero's family in that movie. Mohammed answered beautifully it, which Raju wrote in his personal diary. 

On the other side, Siva joined MNC company and did his job, still he was going to gym because he liked to keep his body fit. Hema was studying well in her 11th grade. She had a good friendship with Ravi (boy). They both studied well. 

In August 2018, alternate Sunday Raju had holiday so he had the habit of going to temple and having food in one Tamil hotel. So in that hotel, he met one girl (Rani), who was working in that hotel. When he ordered the food, she only served the food. So that time he talked with her. She also talked in Tamil. So later, on all alternate Sundays he went to that hotel in the morning after his prayers and spent whole day with her. Since she was working hard, the owner of that hotel left them both to talk as they wished. They exchanged all things that happened in their life. One Sunday she surprised him, so he said “I am going to Tamil Nadu in January for 2 months for pongal. So when I am coming back, I will bring a gift for you, it is my promise”. Rani “I am waiting".

On December 30, Raju reached Chennai, his family was very happy, they celebrated new years 2019 well. On new year day, Hema wished Ravi, they were enjoying a lot. Raju shared some things with his family about Mr. Mohammed and Rani. Then When the family were purchasing dress for them to celebrate Pongal. Raju took a new dress for Rani also, so his family allowed him by trusting him. After that there was a great celebration for pongal.  During holiday Raju didn't write anything in his personal diary. 

On Feb 12th 2019, parents showed Raju one girl's photo and asked him that did he like her, so they can fixed marriage in his next holidays. But Raju told “Please stop talking on this topic first”. They asked him“Are looking for a more beautiful girl”? Raju told “Stop talking nonsense, I believe that all people in the world are beautiful and handsome people because it is only God's creations and it is not in our hands, we did not ask God I want like white, or black skin and then God created us. But I am not ready for marriage”. Then at last his parents asked “Why are you not ready for marriage”? Raju told that “I am in love”. It gave shock to his parents and they thought that Raju and Rani were in love so he bought a dress for her. Swami told Raju “Go out from my home and we don't want to see you again, so please never come back home”, without listening to what Raju was trying to say. Chitra was crying because of her son's bad behavior. So it irritated Raju so he preponed his train ticket to that night itself. He packed all his things in 2 bags and left the home. Siva was speechless when this all was happening and Hema went to school, when she came home and asked about her brother, the family told her that Raju got emergency call from his office so he went. 

In train, Raju and some of his friends (army officer) were going to Delhi after holiday. So in train Raju started writing in his personal diary what happens on Feb 12. 

On 14th morning, They reach Delhi train stations and Raju was eager to see his lover. So they got 2 cars from the army office. So they put all their bags in first car and some friend get in that car so Raju kept his bags in first car, but he and some friends get in 2nd car. They start towards office. First carb passes the signal, but the 2nd car was waiting in signal. In this car they were talking funnily. That time a van beside their car had a blast, so all died. Within 2 min, in all news TV channels, they announced about the Pulwama attack in Delhi 2 mins ago. So within 2 day Raju's body reached home with India's flag, his 2 bags, gold from Indian government and some money. His family broke down into pieces. Siva kept Raju's bag in his (Raju's) room without seeing inside it. But they had no choice, they had to come out from that tragedy.

So within a month they came to little bit normal life style, but no one forgot Raju. So life moves, so parents saw one girl (Anu) for Siva's marriage and he accepted it. So they fixed marriage for him on April 1st. So Hema invited Ravi to come for her brother's marriage, so Ravi came for that marriage. The marriage ended very well, all were happy, but Chitra had sad feelings for Raju which she did not show of.

In may, life was too good for Siva, but Siva's bed room was too small so he and Anu asked his parents that they (Siva and Anu) can move to Raju's room, since it is big, so his parents agreed for it and told “it is your wish if you want to take it”. So one late night when Siva was cleaning up Raju's room, Siva noticed Raju's personal diary and laptop. After that they moved there and Anu was pregnant.

After 9th months, in January 2020, Siva got a baby, this made family very happy, so they enjoyed it. One day Ravi told Hema, this year is last year of our school so Feb 13th we have farewell in our school, that time we want to talk some things about our life. After that Ravi told his friends “I love Hema and I am going to tell her on farewell”. Friends told super, on other side, Siva came home told his family that in his company terminated him for some reasons, so he can work in that company for a month then he wants to see new jobs, so Swami adviced, this is normal in life so search for good jobs. So first week of February Siva was at home and searched for new jobs.

On Feb 12 morning, Hema had a study holiday, so she was studying in hall, Chitra and Anu were making breakfast and Swami just came home from a walk and was having tea in sofa. Siva came out from his room. He had his baby in his hand and wearing army's dress with his name in batch and he gave his baby to Swami and he called everyone to hall. He says “ I am in love” no one can understand. Swami asked do you know what are you saying”? Siva “I know what I meant, he showed Raju's personal diary and laptop. He brings to explain when “I saw Raju's dairy, I want to know, what Raju may write about his love story so I started to read it. Now I am in love”. So Siva is explaining in detail what is inside that, in first page Raju wrote about Mohammad and his no. and why he is writing personal dairy (if any things happen to me then my family and friends should know what happened in my life after joining army) and in 2nd page he wrote answers for Siva's question about the movie which Mohammed told “if everyone has family and thinks like this, then who will save our nation, if no one saves our nation then it will again affect our family. I understand our family situation if we die who will take care of them. But I strongly believe that our Indian brothers and sisters will take care”

In 3 page, Raju wrote how he spent his holiday (alternate Sunday) there and about rani. He wrote “Rani is a girl who worked in hotel for her livelihood, and every Sunday she will go to church for prayer and in her free time she will do some handicrafts by herself. Since she knows Tamil we both started to talk as friendly, and in August she made one surprise for me which I can't forgive in my lifetime, so I promised her that I will bring gifts.

Siva told when I turned to 4 page, I got goosebump, Raju stuck beautiful Raksha Bandhan rope with name Rani which is handcrafted by Rani. So Raju bought dress for her. That made parents cry very badly. Then Siva told “Then I wanted to know who is Raju's lover. So I counting to read 5 page, which Raju wrote in train, Raju's words “I fought at home and came out, I feel very bad, that my parents did not ask me who I loved, my lover is my job, my country, and my family. I don't want to hurt my wife after my death like heroine in the movie so I discuss not to get married. But my family did not understand me and told me not to come home. I hope after some time they will understand me”. Then Siva told “at last Raju gave full form of I love you according which I like so much and that is, I- I AM L-LIVING O-ORGINAL V-VALUE E- EMOTIONS/ ENJOY Y-YOUTH O-OPENINESS, WITH U-UNDERSTAND ME”. After hearing this from Siva, Swami felt shame on himself and told, I only killed my son. Than all family members convinced him.

Then Siva told “so now I am going to join army and I can serve my country and I want to give Rani her gift so I want to go there”. Swami asked “How you can join in army right now and how you can find rani there”? Siva “I knew all this before 8 months ago, so I talked to Mohammad and I told that I want to join army, so he told me to write exam again online and I passed and last month I resigned my job. I told you all in a different way. Before I resigned, Mohammed posted my army dress to my office address and I kept inside my laptop and brought home. I saw photos of Raju's friends, Mohammad sir and Rani in Raju's laptop“. Then Chitra asked him “now we don't have your bro and now you are saying that you are also is going there, then who will take care of us and what Anu will think of you and how she will live without you“? Anu replied “I and Hema will take care of you both and I already know the full story about Raju, Siva told me and asked me, I only forced Siva to join army because Raju is real hero of our family. If Siva dies in work, I can manage to raise up my son, since I got my back bone of education, so I will get a job and after if my son grows up and wishes to join in army, I will also allow him”. Then Hema told “Like my 2 brothers, I want to join army after my studies and serve our country”. Siva adviced her “I don't think woman can join in army so I advice you to please try for air force or navy because it is little bit safety job and as you said you can serve our country”. Then all said OK for Siva to join in army. Do Siva kissed his son's head and got wishes from their parents and after that he left home.

On 13, Hema went to farewell, but she was upset so Ravi asked what happened and she told “everything and I wanted to study well and I want to be like my brothers”. So Ravi told Hema “you can do it, I always support you and all the best for your future” . After Hema left. Ravi's friends came and asked him, did he tell his love to Hema. Ravi replied no and told everything. Then they told “you are fool, that is their problem, you should tell your true love”. Ravi got angry, and said “according to you all true love means having fun with bf/gf and caring for each other, these all our family is also doing. Or going to promise Bridge and hang lock with lovers name for showing how you love each other but this is not true love or you think that true love means it should be successful in life by living together after marriage. But what happens to Raju's true love, so true love is not based on success or not. it is base on how truely you love. Or likewise you all said if I tell her my love today and if she does not accept, then I will not be like other boys, get sad and say bad words to her or drink alcohol and spoil my life. Instead of that I will work hard, become successful in my life and support her as friend, so after some years she may think why she did not accept my love and it is her mistake, then also my love succeeds. I don't want to lose my personal characters for her because first I love myself then her”. Then friends say sorry. Then Ravi said “my love & Raju's love is one side love, but our love is not fake love. So now I going to support my Hema and motivate her to achieve her dreams and I keep on doing my hard work, after that we may see what happens may be we join in future” .

On 14, Siva reached army camp and joined his job. He went to meet Rani and told her about Raju's death and gave her gift . So she cried badly, so he convinced her by telling her “All Indians are brothers and sisters so I am also your brother and I will come here alternate Sundays and we can have fun like you had with Raju”. So she smiled. After that Siva returned to his camp and he saw India's flag and saluted for 2 minutes that time Mohammad saw him and he told Siva “I saw Raju's soul in you when you stand in front of flag, so take me as your elder brother and ask if you need any help at any time”. Then Siva told sure and jai hind. After that Siva thought “last year, this day is known as black day of our nation. But today it is colorful day of our nation because I am hindu and my boss (elder brother) is Muslim and my sister (Rani) is Christian, so I believe this is the power of India's true love.

A) Siva is alive with his family after his retirement and Hema works in navy /air force and married Ravi, Ravi is successful in life and Siva's son is doing his favorite job.

C) Siva died in war, So Anu gets a job and Hema joined other jobs which she feels important to our nation's growth and married Ravi, and Siva's son joins army like his father. 

D) Reader's more creative ideas about ending of this story in different ways.

According to me, all the above options is good ending because life is unpredictable. 

Really Pulwama attack in Delhi happen on 14-4-2019 morning , I remember it and I checked with Google.
