The Pursuit of PEACE

All our lives we get to learn that peace is something that is embedded deep within ourselves. All we have to do is seek that within. There is an old saying; 'Peace is not only in calmness & stillness but it can also be found in noise & commotion, or in the midst of a storm '. Well, I personally believe that this affirmation may be subtle for those who are still seeking peace. If we delve back in the lives of the ancient sages and seers we'll find that all of them used to seek refuge in Nature's lap. Just to pick up one such life, Lord Buddha attained Nirvana at Bodh Gaya which was a mere jungle back then. Sitting at one spot he conquered himself and attained enlightenment. Nature is God's greatest creation, so proximity to nature is the path for getting closer to the higher power. Peace is usually experienced by entities that usually don't have a say.

Consider the chirruping of birds. I'm sure no one will ever deny that their voices are the most soothing balm for the ears. Or having a meal together with our loved ones is no less than heaven on earth. If we keep moving towards a destination in search of peace we may never be able to find it. Peace hides in those tiny moments when the mind is in tune with nature. When the mind and heart are not quarreling. No matter wherever we are in life, I'm sure nature will never abandon anyone as it is the creation of God and God loves humans. So in life, if we haven't found peace, I'm sure it is waiting somewhere. It's only a matter of time.

And the day we feel the faintest glimpse of peace then most certainly our life will never be the same after that. It will be the inception of a new dimension revealing all the concealed secrets. We get all the answers and then, there's no looking back….
