When she opened the door, her heart missed a beat! She couldn't believe her eyes, In front of her was the man, who had deserted her two years back, for a girl young enough to be his daughter, a girl who worked in his office. Shalini had picked up the pieces bit by bit and mended her broken heart in these years. Now the face, she had rubbed off from her memory was staring back at her.
Rahul's face showed ravages of time, the hate, contemptuous look was gone. Rahul was mumbling something..."Sorry...I made a mistake..." she was partially hearing whatever he was saying. Her mind was wandering off to the words, his friend had told her that the girl had dumped him for a newfound boy, her age. Whatever Rahul was saying was inaudible now. Her cold eyes were staring at a stranger for whom she felt nothing at all. She cut through his words and heard herself saying, "I think you have come to the wrong address, Sir, Love lives here no more." She the door at his face. A smile crept across her face and suddenly the weight was lifted off her.
