The Key To Success

 Once there was a boy searching something all over the road. An old man happened to pass by. He stopped to ask the boy what he was searching for? The boy replied in an anxious tone that he has lost his keys and is searching for them. The old man thought to help the boy. So he asked:" Where did you drop the keys?" The boy pointed out a spot far away from where he was presently searching and said: "There!". The old man laughed at him and said:"My dear boy if you have lost something in a different place then why are you searching it here!!"

The boy replied:" I am searching here because it is dark over there so I thought I should search here because there is light over here."

  Well, this is the condition of our youth today. They are busy searching for their success in the wrong place. The youth is so much misguided and carried away by the wrong decisions. They are like a herd of sheep walking one after the other. They don't know where they are heading towards. 

Few days back I was going through a video which showed a herd of cows walking blindly one after the other without any aim. The first cow jumped over a white line, the line painted on the road as a divider. It was a simple painted line, but because the first cow jumped so all the cows behind did the same! 

This is what we as parents are doing too. We are so engrossed with the question "WHAT WILL PEOPLE SAY?" That we forget to check our child's talent and interest. The youth is not able to decide, so when there is the craze for being an engineer we have crores of engineers when there is a craze for doctors then there is a huge race to enter into medical colleges. Why can we not search the happiness of choosing the career by allowing our hearts to decide not the mind? Because my neighbour's child is attending the karate class and swimming class my child should also attend is the desire of each parent. That is why when the child picks up the colouring brush instead of tying his black belt the parent is furious. 

    The child's key to success is being sought at the wrong place. Allow the child to work and choose his or her own career because it is not something you can keep changing like clothes. A career is something which creates your identity. So enjoy your work and succeed don't end up yourself like the 3 idiots. Search your key if success in the right place.
