The Karma Of The Queen

A girl named Sarah owned a very old pack of cards, and some of her friends wanted to play with them. One rainy day the kids gathered at Sarah's house to play with her pack of cards. The kids did not know that the cards were alive. The cards only had to behave as ordinary cards in front of the children to keep their identity secret. All the cards were overjoyed when Sarah came to take them from their dusty corner on the shelf.

While the kids were playing, two cards, the Queen of diamonds and the Queen of hearts developed a rivalry between each other as the Queen of diamonds won every single round. The Queen of hearts thought that all the other cards hated the other Queen too.

The next day she kept the other cards distracted and rushed the Queen of diamonds to the fireplace and pushed her in. With pride in her voice, she announced to the other cards that ”I threw the Queen of diamonds into the fireplace, good riddance, I say”. All the cards were horrified and stopped speaking to the Queen of hearts. As days passed she regretted doing such an evil deed.

The children had planned a picnic and every evening she heard the children talking about the picnic and she hoped she could go with them. She couldn't believe it, all the cards were going to the picnic! They left excited to see what was awaiting them in the forest.

Also, the other cards planned to leave the Queen of hearts behind in the forest, while the picnic was going on they asked her to look for four-leafed clovers and when she was out of eyesight they left.~ The Queen of hearts couldn't find anyone after coming back, she searched and searched until it was too dark to. Suddenly she heard voices and went towards them to only find some hunters searching for wood to keep their fire blazing when one of them spotted her and said ”here, I’ve found some paper” and lifted her and put her in the fire. And so she burnt to ashes.
