The Incomplete Success

Ishaan and Omi were the only two children of Anandiben. Anandiben was married off to Mr. Jagath, a 35 years old man, at a very raw age of 14. She had her sons at the age 16 only. Ishaan was only six minutes elder to Omi. Mr. Jagath expired at the age of 45 due to cancer. Then Anandiben was again back to Anandiben from Mrs. Jagath. The three of them had the most problematic phase of their life.

There was a queue of people who were waiting for the three to repay the debts taken by Mr. Jagath.

Because of this reason they had to shift to Amreli. They were n ot treated by the society as they were poor. Somehow, Anandiben managed to educate Ishaan in a nearby school. She could not afford to educate both of them. As they were twins they both used to go to the school alternately on weekly basis and no used to notice this. She did not even have money to buy their regular

necessities like oil, sugar, rice, etc. Sometimes they did not use to eat for two days.

One day when Anandiben was preparing meal for her loved ones, a salesman enteredthe house and asked Anandiben whether Anandiben was interested in accepting a job of a tailor. Anandiben agreed because she had to earn money to live in this world dependent on money, money and money.

After 7 years....

Anandiben had now saved some amount of money for Ishaan and Omi. The company of the school friends of them both was not good, she was afraidit could affect future of her children, so she damitted Ishaan and Omi in St.Bernard's college in Ahmednagar. It was one of the best colleges in the city. It was also featured in a magazine as the best college in Ahmednagar in 1983.

Now Ishaan and Omi were staying in College hostel and use to visit on weekend to home to meet their mother. The two had their own dreams now. Now both of them used to be in the college together. They both worked hard to meet their goals. Now Ishaan had started to show his true colors. Being elder he used to act arrogantly with Omi and he would ignore his mom as if she was dead. They both appeared for the boards exam. They both had done exceptionally well in the exams.

Both of their names were showcased in the first list. For further studies Ishaan decided to go to Mumbai with his friends but Omi continued in Ahmednagar. Ishaan shifted to Mumbai. He joined the Mathew's Commerce Institution [MCI]. he was happy studying there. On the other hand, Omi continued to study in the St. Bernard’s Institution. he also used to look after his mother as she was growing old.

After some years....

Ishaan was a successful businessman now. he owned his own company named Ishaan electronics. On the inauguration day the ceremony was shown live on a news channel. Anandiben was very proud of his son. But soon after Ishaan announced that the Avanti and he will be marrying the next month. Omi and Anandiben were shocked because Ishaan did not tell them anything about this.

After 30 years....

Ishaan's company was one of the most trusted companies in India. He was settled with a family of two children and his wife. Omi was also settle with one daughter Riya, his wife and his mother. Anandiben was suffering from plague now. Omi tried to reach Ishaan via phone, but he had changed his sim card and did not inform them. In a couple of years Ishaan's company was the highest gainer in India. At the success party he remembered about Omi and Anandiben suddenly. he decided to visit Amreli the next morning. He reached Amreli. He was even able to locate his house. He had to take help of the locals. when reached his "ex-home" or for him it was just a structure made out of cement (only a House).

He saw a little girl, Riya, playing in the veranda. He entered his "house". He saw Omi sitting on a chair looking up at the ceiling. Omi was very shocked to see Ishaan. It was once in a blue moon moment for him. Ishaan just glanced upon the walls of the room. Then his glad face turned into an unexplained horror as if cold water is flowing through his veins, his got dreadful chills. He saw a photo of his loving mother hung up with a dried garland on it . He asked Omi, "Whe...when did all th....th.... this happened?"

Omi told him that their mother had passed away two years ago! and you did not even bother to ask us how we were? There was a sudden silence in this house. Then Ishaan understood the real value of having a family. After a few months Ishaan opened a new branch of his company in Amreli. But now the name was Anandiben Electronics...
