The House Of Skeletons

Four friends went on a hiking trip into the mountains one day. It was for a school project where each group will have to tell the most adventurous story ever.

 "Hurry on guys! why are you walking so slow?!" Amie scrolled.

 "No you need to slow down..."Mike replied breathing like a hog.

 "Corral Amie you have to remember not all of us are in the scouts" Jacob added, chewing on his chocolate bar.

 "Well Jacob there's a reason you aren't in scouts and that's because you are greedy and that's maybe the reason you are so far in the first place" Larry her red. Jacob turned around to give him a punch in his nose but Amie broke it up.

"Hey! don't bother with it today If you want us to pass this project that means you need to keep silent and save your energy for later. Ok?!"

 "Okay Amie!" They replied.

Walking up the steep slopes ,narrowly between trees and over their roots was such a challenge for the kids. It was so spooky, nothing but trees,birds, mangoose,lizards and creepy owls perched on branches. The sounds of sticks breaking under their shoes alone made the four of them scared.

 They walked and walked, leaping over rocks, each with their own backpack of water supplies, refreshments, snacks and sandwiches.

  "Guys! There's a house!" Amie yelled from up front.They all dived to the ground and hid behind a huge rock while she peeped on the building.

It was old,with broken windows and old spider websbal over.

 "What is it Amie?" Mike asked curiously.

"It's a old house..." She replied "in the middle of nowhere."

  "So is there anyone?" Jacob whispered fearfully in their hearing.

 "No!" 

"Well let's go check it out then!" Larry ran off towards the building.

 "Larry no! Wait!" Amie called after him before running off too,followed by fat Jacob and Mike.

"Wow this place very old..." Mike expresses

 "Yeah!wonder who could have lived here,up in this mountain so far from civilization" Jacob added.

"Look a door!let's go in" Larry rushed his way into the building.The wooden floor creeks and squeaked.

 "Be careful Larry ,it can be dangerous!" Amie warned.Larry was outraged.

"It's perfectly sound and firm" They were all convinced and so they all went in.Lookimg around everything was in place and dusty with cobwebs.Tgere were pots on the stoves,jars holding things like seasons, utensils ,two beds side by side in the corner well spread but spoiled and old.

  "Look at this place,the pots are still in place where they were once left."Mike said

  "Yeah corral I can see the beauty that was once in here.Its like who soever once lived here just left without packing" Amie commented.Jacob was feeding his face with some huge bites into his egg sandwich.The floor cried terribly when he stepped.Larry laughed " Hey fat boy , don't break the floor with us all". Jacob got so mad and threw the rest of his food squashed into his face.Tge others burst out in laugh.

 Same time there was a loud distant thunder. "Oh no it's gonna rain" Amie said.As she said so the rain poured down heavily."Looks like we are gonna sleep here tonight..." 

Jacob got crazily scared.

 "Spend the night?!Here?!"He yelled."In the middle of nowhere?!"

"Corral guys this place is very spooky ,I can't imagine spending a night here" Mike said.Amie was outraged.

 "Guys cut gat crop of fear.I can't believe am the only girl here but yet the bravest !" She scolled "Look out side,we are staying here for the night and that's final!"

 They worked together and began fixing the old building into a livable room for the night.Jacob and Mike found dry wood in a store room,they will use it to make a small fire in a metal pan For heat and light.Amie sorted out the beds outs while Larry was doing the hardest task ever He had to barcade the windows and doors,along with any other opens where predator animal can enter through.It was done in Amie's order because if it was left up to these boys they would have stayed open and they just wouldn't stay their for the night in the first place.

 When they were through with their given task ,each of them sat on the beds facing each other and began to eat on their food.It was dark and cold out side as the rain was falling none stop.Leaks were in the roof.

 "Well it's kinda awesome so far" Mike said.

"For you .I miss my bed" replied Larry.

  "So guys ,I thiy in the morning we are heading back down.After tonight we should have something interesting to write about and get a 100 percent." Amie declared.

  "Yes what shall we title it?"Jacob asked ,"what about 'A house in the Woods?"

"I was more like thinking of um...' In the middle of nowhere" Mike said.

 

 "Those are both great things guys and am sure we can get alot more..."She said. "So who's gonna keep watch?" Larry was puzzled.

 "Um...keep what Amie?" He asked.

"Amie how many times must I tell you that this ain't scouts?" Mike scolled." This place is well secured enough ,no need for watch keepers or anything like that."

 "Ok sorry for been over protective ,but it's protocol..."

 "Protocol for scouts ,not your adventure team.Anyways ,I want to sleep so tomorrow" He laid down on his back and in no time -asleep and was shortly after joined by Larry .

 "Jacob?" Amie whispered."if you were home now ,what would be doing?"

Jacob thought for about 2 seconds.

"Well I'm...maybe I'll be watching television,or playing games or eating "he replied.

  Amie took a deep breath,"if I was home right now, I'll be reading,Touch of a Rose..."

 Wow !never heard of it before...who is the author?"

 "The writer is Kenroy Mclean."she informed."It's about a man name Jacob .He was on his way home from work ,when he hit a beautiful girl with his car.He took her home and dressed her wounds .They both fell in love with each other and When time came for her to go back home to the gardens where's she's from.Rose turned into a beautiful Rose flower tree"

 Wow.So much for a boy with my name,he must be sad..."

  "Wow .so much for a boy with my own name.He must have been sad."

"Yup he was very sad..."she said ,laying beside him and staring into the ceiling. "Jacob, what do you want to do after school?"

 Hmm...when I left school I wanna study law in university or medicine-one of the above" He replied."What do you came to be?"

 

 "Well I want to be a writer and a economist or a teacher ,I don't know either...I do love books and want to write one for myself.I want to marry a nice guy and build a family in a community far away from here" she sighed. "Can I tell you something?'

 "Yes what is it?" Jacob answered.

She looked at him and said "don't tell the others but, am kinda scared." Jacob laughed before replying "we all are..." 

They laid their and chat alittle bit more.In no time they were fast asleep.

 In the middle of the night Larry woke up to pee.He stooped down the bed side and reached for the pot under the bed and pulled it out.Instead of a pot when he looked it was a skeleton.

 So scared Larry three it down and gave out a loud scream waking everyone.Tgey week mad with him at first but when they too looked down and saw the skeleton it was a turfwar of fright and fear.Jumping all over the beds and running all over the building..Screams filled the air even Amie almost wet her pants.

Unfortunately Jacob stepped too hard on the floor and it burst through with him.He landed on his back in what seemed to be a basement,dark and certainly not for the weak of heart-especially Jacob who peed his pants.

 The other decided to ran leave him after they pulled the door barriers but Amie stoped them.

 "You stupid idiots! How can you want to run and leave your friend in a old house ,on a spooky dark ;in the middle of nowhere?!"she scolled.

  "We can come back for him in the morning!" Replied Mike.Amie grew sad-it was obvious theat she liked him.

 "But ...but ,what if we don't find him?What if he get eaten by evil predators?" She began to cry.

 Larry and Mike were convinced ,when the reality of what she just said hit them.They all went back to rescue their friend,Jacob.One by one ,they went down into the hole on the floor --THE same one Jacob fell through.When they got there Jacob was in a panic attach,they soon found out the reason why.

There were Skeletons all over, hanging from the ceiling,tied to columns,cuffed to chairs and in a bath tub.Everyone got crazy panic;screaming and running.Mike was able to break through one of the side walls making a escape route with a axe he found.

They ran and ran down the hill in the darkness-scared.Often they fell over branches and rocks,cuting and bruising all over ;but they were determined not to be trapped in this dreadful place ,so that got up each time and kept running.

 By Dawn They reached the city and head to their homes and told their parents about what happened.The parents themselves were scared and went to the Police Station and by noon the house in the mountains was a crime scene.Who's bones were they? -no one knows until now.

The friends wrote their project adventure story and titled it 'The House of Skeletons' and got a full one hundred mark. From that day forward Amie,Mike,Jacob and Larry and their story 'The House of Skeletons' became famous in their school, community and city.
