"Trin-Trin all the people move away from my sight", said the poor postman, Kranti Lal. A person with brown thick eyebrows, rugged brown clothes, brown turban and a handbag lazily hanging down his shoulder as if the bag is also tired of this routine of delivering the posts.

Everything is brown as if he is kind of promoting a colour in his colorless monotonous life. He comes to this Taroki village once in a month riding on his brakeless cycle therefore welcomed by the shouting crowd. Everyone calls him the brakeless brown thus getting a nickname for himself in this unique village. Kranti Lal stops and takes a sigh of relief wiping the sweat dripping down his forehead. He took a sigh of relief of finally safely landing in the village. Looking above he is met with those gloomy eyes of the villagers. He gave the letter to the village head. Thus ending everyone's wait.

Even the cows mooed showing their wait for the letter. When the letter got opened suddenly the wind started blowing ferociously and there was a sudden downpour. The letter was from the local minister who claimed that the villagers' problem of water shortage will be resolved shortly as he is praying to the water God Indradev. So vote should be in favour of the minister.

The villagers were shocked by the quick response of the prayers of the minister. Everyone danced in joy and pledged to vote for the minister surely. No one even bothered to hear Kranti Lal who was trying to inform the village people that yesterday there was a forecast of the upcoming monsoon rains and it was not the minister's doing. Seeing this Kranti Lal broke into laughter. This was his first laugh in so many months.
