'Tenacity', It's More Than Car

When my mother finally acknowledged that she couldn't care for herself any longer, and agreed to come to Florida to stay with me, I didn't know how long this would be for, so it was impossible to prepare for the event In its entirety. I did, however, make a decision to take her home and help to make her life as happy, safe, secure, and healthy as possible.

It has turned into a lifetime experience.

Without tenacity, the best of intentions fall flat. Sure I was always considered a caring person, but everybody has a breaking point when the caring has run out, and it's time to give up the task. No matter who you are caring for. That's when the value of tenacity kicks in.

When your emotional supporters pass away, and your physical supporters give up or are taken away, and your family members ignore both your needs, all that's left Is you and the one you're caring for...you must rely on yourself for everything, and there's no more input from anywhere else, you draw on your own tenacity to keep ongoing. You find the reasons why God put you here to do a good, and give thanks for every day.

One day, I'll be alone with my memories of 'the times when'....

I'll be glad I had the tenacity to support the caring I wanted to accomplish and give thanks to God for the strength, the endless endurance, and His Grace. Today, however, I thank God for my Mother.
