"Sorry maa, not even today, said nine-year-old Ramu to her mother. " I couldn't gather enough money from selling these matchboxes today. "No blanket yet again", said Ramu with eyes sunken red with tears. Leaving by the footpath they had spent days after his husband passed off in the riots. Mother smiled and pampered Ramu"s cheeks. " Don't worry beta. We have match sticks, we still can stay warm. Get some branches from that tree", said her mother.

Ramu smiled and rushed for those reachable branches. Both mother and son smiled and warmth covered them all over. Heaven was happy to see smiling faces.
