Smile Please...!

"Smile please...!" the photographer said.

Mansi watched the couple happily smiling, holding their hands together. Today was her first date with the guy she had met online. Starting with online chat & then moving to phone calls, they understood they had a lot in common.

"We'll meet one day. Then you'll see me." Rohit said, who never shared his photos. with her.

Finally, today they decided to meet at the garden plaza. A photography event was organized there, especially for couples. A perfect place for a date, she thought. 

"Wonderful photo...!" I'll develop and send it to you.... " she heard the photographer say as she watched the entrance to the garden.

"Wonderful one.....!" she heard the photographer say again as she checked her mobile for any incoming messages. Not a single message from him. 

As time further passed, and with more couples taking happy photos with each other, her mind starts drifting to bad thoughts.

"He's fooling you...! No men are this way....! They only know how to use girls...!" her very close friends had told her. Some of her close ones had also suffered heartbreaks in such a relationship. Guys use girls.... They make girls a sex machine.....

She brushed away all those thoughts. I'll believe in him, I'll never ever ever give up on him, she affirmed to herself. 

She had always felt lonely her entire life. No one was ever close to her, except very few of her friends. Rohit knew everything and every detail of her personal life.

Earlier, she was a very introvert girl. Always angry on smaller things. But Rohit taught her the real value of life. He was exactly the opposite of who she was. Slowly she started experiencing a change in her behaviour. Being with him, always brought happiness to her. She started experiencing things in a different way, always happy and smiling at all things that came her way.

"Good one..... Wonderful...!" as the photographer said this, Mansi turned her attention to him. 

He was a stout man in his late twenties. With an excellent smile and cheerful personality, he made all the couples joyous and happy. He took down their emails so that he can send them their photos.

“You have a very cheerful smile….!” She complimented the guy.

“Thank you ma’am….! You’re waiting for someone…?”

“Yaa.. I think he’s not turning up…maybe he’s busy somewhere…!” she said and as she turned, in a small drift of air, she smelt his perfume.

“Engage M1 is my favorite...!” he had told her once.

“Photography is my hobby. I like to photograph couples as they give out lots of love and joy…” She remembered his words as she stood there, smiling.

“Let’s have a photo…together…!” he offered his hand and she accepted, smiling joyfully with tears in her eyes.

As he put the camera on a timer, Mansi knew that it would be the best photo of them together, and she gave a nickname to it: Ro-Man

They then stood together and as the timer light blinked faster, Rohit said, “Smile Please….!”
