✨Recovery after Surgery ✨

Hi, My name is Simran Thapa.

I'm 18 years old. I'm sharing my story with you. I can remember is as if it happened yesterday. Flashback I was standing in front of my mirror. I had always a horrible ache in my back but I just presumed it was because my Granny's bed was uncomfortable. But looking back now I know it wasn't that. I diagnosed myself with Scoliosis (overdevelopment of muscle) after getting my first x-ray, CT scan, MRI we discovered I had a 60-degree curve. When I saw my spine for the first time I broke down, I couldn't believe how curved I never knew it.

I felt like a monster. I would cry every night wishing my spine would be straight. Every few weeks I would go to Amandeep hospital (Amritsar) for appointments and X-rays m We fought hard to get my operation. I still didn't have a date for my operation. I was very desperate my family was very desperate. I'll never forget the pain I experienced, the breathing difficulties I had my spine was slowly crushing my lungs, not being able to stand up for no longer. And then I got the news. I was going to get my Operation on the 16 August 2018. I was so happy but unbelievably nervous.

The last thing I remember before my operation was taking "happy medicine".
