Ms. Harshini and Mr. Tanvish

It was in the month of August 2018, Tanvish and Harshini enjoyed their lazy Sunday and were having chai in the evening. Doorbell rings, Tanvish opens the door he was surprised to see his old school friend at the door, he welcomes Rahul inside and offers him chai introducing him to Harshini.

Rahul, after chatting for a while, was curious to know how they got together, so he asked Harshini to tell about their love story. Harshini muddled and expressed their love story to Rahul. We first met at Tanmay’s birthday party, I had good chat with him, we had many similar interests.

Apparently, his office was in the same building where I have rented space for consulting as an architect. Acha, that is the reason why interiors of home are eccentric! where did you do your architecture from? I did it from SPA, Delhi. Later I got shifted from Delhi to Mumbai to experience work life in mumbai.

So, I was new to the city and Tanvish was already here since 3 years. He was working as stock broker, when I met him at Tanmay’s birthday. I had just got settled in an apartment at Oshiwara. Tanvish use to stay at Char Bungalow, which was 2km away from my apartment. We spent the whole night staring at stars talking about each other’s life experiences in the terrace after the birthday party. It was beautiful night, Indeed. Later, we had delightful 1 year, we travelled to many places in India. On our trip to Ladakh, I developed very good intentions on Tanvish. I use to enjoy moments with him, cherish every word he utters. Harshu! Aren’t you cherishing my words these days? Tanvish, I cherish even more now-a-days! Harshini, replies half-heartedly. I am so happy for both of you, please continue Harshiniji, said Rahul.

I was planning to go on trek to Stok Kangri from long time. I expressed that to Tanvish, he was excited and want to take a break from his work. We both, along with a few other club members went on a trip to ladakh. We reached Stok Kangri, one the highest mountain in the Ladakh region. It was a beautiful evening, we have set-up bonfire and were having wine, I thought to express my love towards Tanvish after reaching Stok Kangri trek. It was a perfect moment, I held his hand and said I Love you, Tanvish! He was silent for 5 seconds. I was getting panicked. I gazed down for a moment and looked at him, he kissed and said I Love you too!

Club members were double happy after knowing that we got together, we enjoyed dancing together and partied along with other club members, slept in the tents arranged by team. It was adorable moment of my life! Harshini went quite taking a sip of chai. 

It was so sweet listening to your love story, I wish to listen to more stories of your love life next time I come. I have to rush for a meeting, I will take a leave for now Tanvish.

Monday morning, they were having morning coffee. I was so happy to recollect those memories. Its been 2 years, we didn’t go on long trip Tanvish! are we staying alive? we will plan some trip for this December harshu, replied Tanvish.

Days passed on, they got so busy with their works and weren’t able to spend time together. Tanvish a year ago, got bored of his stock broker role, moved to advertising stream to be creative and wanted to work on creating great advertisements. He is completely occupied with his new love of life, advertisements. He was unable to spend good time with Harshini.

On the other side, Harshini’s clients have stopped their works due to recession. She was struggling a lot to get new clients and meet the basic office expenses. It was very frantic for Harshini since she was paying all office expenses from her own pocket from past 3 months. Harshini was trying all the possibilities to bring her firm into a better position and she was expecting support from Tanvish.

Tanvish, was enjoying his new work and office culture. He has got good colleagues and was having great time with them learning about different things in the new Industry.

Ms Lucy, Tanvish colleague and subordinate and was into advertising since beginning of her professional career. She worked for good MNC’s and holds good position in the company where Tanvish was working. Tanvish was very impressed with her work and nature, started spending time, hanging out for long durations creating out of the box advertisements. Lucy was relishing moments with him!

It was late night, Tanvish asked Harshini to order food for three of them. Tanvish returned home from work along with Lucy, Harshini welcomed Lucy and they chatted for a while in the living room and moved to dining table. Lucy started admiring Tanvish creative thinking and his open- mindedness by expressing moments they had at office. Harshini was just listening to them, passing a fake smile and having dinner. Lucy brought a bottle of wine which Harshini love to drink, she gifted it to her and left home after having dinner.

Harshini was expecting moral support from Tanvish, but he was unable to spare good time and talk to her about the bad things which were going in her life. Harshini din’t want to disturb Tanvish work and happiness, she took all burden and struggle to get back in professional career. But things were getting worse day-by-day, she was unable to manage the company. She closed the company and cleared-off all payments with the savings she has done.

Tanvish was working on a prestigious project along with Lucy for an NGO. They had to work day and night for developing a impactful advertising strategy to raise good amount of fund for the NGO. Lucy and Tanvish started liking their ideas and were taking projects further, along with their team.

Harshini, was taking a break from work life and was expecting moral support from Tanvish. But whenever they sat for dinner, Tanvish started talking about Lucy and the work which were doing, about the funny incidents happened at his office. Harshini didn’t like those conversations at all. She was already in grief and the conversation about Lucy made her more insecure.

Harshini started doubting Tanvish behaviour and suspected that he might get along with Lucy. Once Harshini started doubting him, her thoughts went bad and she became vulnerable. She was an introvert and had immense love towards Tanvish, she didn’t want to express her feelings to Tanvish and make her feel bad about her thinking.

Days passed on, eventually Tanvish admiration for Lucy got strengthened and conversations about Lucy at the dining table with Harshini kept on happening daily. Tanvish indulged himself expressing about Lucy and her nature every day.

Fortunately, the project got appreciation from the client and was a great success. They were invited for a success meet in the month of December at Bali. Tanvish expressed about the office trip to Harshini, at the dining table, she congratulated and expressed half-hearted happiness towards tanvish plan. She asked Tanvish, are you enjoying your life and company along with Lucy? Yes absolutely, every day is so exciting with Lucy, he replied.

A week left for the Tanvish trip, Harshini asked him to come on a date along with her. They went to sky resort at Juhu, had wine and light dinner. Later they sat facing towards sea in the moon light and had conversations.

Harshini asked, Tanvish do you think love stays harmonious and ever-long upon an Individual? Harshu, why are asking that? he replied.

She asked again, tell me what do you think? it can be ever long but not harmonious, he replied. I want to express both towards you for rest of my life Tanvish. They enjoyed cool breezes and sea-view, Harshini took nap leaning on Tanvish relishing the moment.

They returned back home and continued their routine for a couple of days. Tanvish flew to Bali along with Lucy for the success meet. Harshini flew back to Delhi and started a new life.
