Never Give Up

Teachers always encourage children never to give up. They try their best to motivate each and every child so that the child may use his or her full potential.l. This is a story that I shared with my class as a way to motivate them.

Children can relate very well to animals and Birds. They love stories that involve animals and Birds. This story is about Birds and is set in a jungle

A long time ago in a forest on a treetop there lived a family of Birds. A Mama bird and a Papa Bird. It was winter and time for building the nest was near.So the birds took every effort to build a nice nest for its little ones. The nest was ready and there were cute little eggs in the nest

The was a small hole in the trunk of the tree where a huge snake lived The snake was too lazy to get out of the tree trunk and hunt for food. It would go up to the tree and eat the fruits.

One day as it was going to reach the fruits it saw the nest and eggs it quickly got close to the nest and very greedily gobbled the eggs. The Birds returned and found the nest empty. They were very sad and did not know who ate the eggs. They did not lose hope and started building the nest and the mother bird laid the eggs hoping this time the eggs would be safe they just waited but after a few days the greedy snake climbed the tree and ate the eggs. This happened, again and again, each time the mother bird laid the eggs it was eaten by the snake

The birds did not know who was eating the eggs. They decided to wait and watch then they saw the snake going towards the nest

They knew it was the snake The birds were determined to teach the Snake a lesson. The mama bird laid eggs this time and the Papa bird bought a few sticks of Marigold shoots and covered the nest. They watched from far the snake but found that the snake on reaching the nest just was going back it could not go towards the nest. The smell of the Marigold kept the snake away. The nest and eggs were safe. The snake never again tried to reach the eggs.

The moral of the story to try and never lose hope even the strongest enemy you can fight by using your wisdom

If the little birds could fight the strong snake if we are determined we can face every battle.
