Indian Flag On His Chest
Indian Flag On His Chest
Today is August 15th. I am in a dilemma to go for flag hoisting or to sleep again.
When I opened my window to have a balcony view, I found this retired Major uncle who lives opposite my home.
He got ready and his wife is putting a small Indian Flag on his chest pocket. She carefully kept a pin on his pocket to hold the flag.
His smile is vibrant and she saluted him.
While they both started walking towards the colony ground for flag hoisting I became a statue.
His left arm which sacrificed for the nation misses the smile on his face.
I called my son who is getting ready to go for flag hosting to wait for me.
I felt proud to be Indian on that day while walking to attend Indian flag hoisting by the Army Major uncle.
I am excited to do a salute to him.
