How I Met My Father

It was a sultry hot October morning when Navin was sweating in a public bus. He looked over a window and was wondering about the dream where he dreamt of his sister met with an accident. He was troubled and wondered who will help him. He called up his sister but her phone line was dead. Frustrated he was trying to forget the incident. When suddenly he heard a voice “ Get Out of the Bus” why he wondered after al I have paid the fare.

The more he was trying to forget the more the voice was speaking to him. He was spooked he looked around and all of sudden he was caught by his collar and dragged out of the bus. Navin felt so angry as he was short tempered but could do nothing but stand and watch the bus pass by.

He watched the bus pass him and suddenly the voice spoke again. “Follow Me” Navin was terrified and felt how he can hear a voice in a broad daylight. He was shocked and in disbelief he followed the voice. The voice was directing him on the road to a place of worship. Navin has no idea about the outcome. He walked for 1 km in the heated morning and thought by himself “what am I doing?” Navin reached a house of a priest and found it locked and asked the neighbor they said the family has gone for a meeting.

Navin decided that he will meet the priest later and discuss the dream. But the voice was leading him again to the place of worship.

”It is enough, I don’t know the place” He shouted in plain air.

The voice calmed him down and said “I will lead you, follow me”

Navin was curious about the voice and felt he need to know what is the outcome. He followed that voice and reached a place of worship. He was surprised to find lots of people from different background worshipping in that place.

Navin thought himself “what should I do now? I don’t know how to worship”. He was thinking and suddenly that voice spoke to a prophet and showed Navin every path he had travelled and how he was dejected and lost the peace which he was seeking.

Navin felt peace in his heart and started finding a relationship which was hard to explain. He found a father who was so caring and gentle yet was so determined to take care of him. Navin was a changed man. He never felt dejected and troubled. He knew he is in the mighty hands of his father who is father to all.

Today, Navin is a happy man he is closer to his father who speaks to him each day giving him love, peace and joy in his spirit.
