HIGH SCHOOL
I was born with the medical condition called 'Heterochromia'; I mean by both of my eyes are different coloured, my left eye is green, and my right eye is blue. My parents were shaken when they saw me, later my parents named me Andrea.
When I was two years old, my dad left us with a rich girl, so; my mom used to work 3-4 jobs. When I was in 8th grade, I used to do Partime jobs to help my mom, and I was bullied for my medical condition. A year later, I was in 9th grade, and I shifted to another school because of the bullying; my mom brought me a blue lens so I could not get bullied anymore.
On the first day of school, I was wearing the lens, I was so nervous, and I also didn't know where is my class. A girl came up to me and asked, "are you new here" I said, "yes", she said, "oh ok, I'll show you around". She showed me around, and I asked her, "Can I know your name?" she said, "Yes", my name is Cara, what's your name?" "My name is Andrea, nice to meet you". She showed me my class. She was in the same class as me. While I was ready to go to the dining hall during the lunch break, three girls came up to me and invited me for lunch; I said "okay", and they walked off. While I was going to their table in the dining hall, I noticed Cara sitting alone, and I changed my mind and went to join Cara.
I've got to know that I and Cara have a lot in common so, Cara and I became closer day by day and we are best friends now; I've shared my secret with Cara about my medical condition, later that day, I was walking through the school hallway, people started asking me about my lens, my medical condition and I was so mad about it. The only one who knew about my medical condition was Cara, I saw Cara in the hallway, and I went to approach her so, I asked, "Did you say to everyone about my medical condition", Cara said "Yes, I did because I was jealous of you", I said "But I thought we were best friends and how could you do this to me!" and she walked off. Later, I promised myself never to see her again, I started focusing on my studies and didn't wear my lens to school, but surprisingly everyone thought it was cool.
I'm 22 years old, studying at Harvard University, and I started picking friends carefully.
