Hidden Fear

My tribute to those COVID warriors who have risked their life for the sake of humanity. My wife is a nurse at AIIMS. She was COVID ward in charge for all setups in the hospital. The whole day she was on the phone day or night she was ready to serve but suddenly one day she got a sore throat, cough and fever while working. Even after all precautions she got COVID. She was crying and sobbing. When she got her report on phone that she is COVID positive now. I called for a private ambulance and she was admitted to hospital, struggling to breathe. That moment I was feeling restless how to help her .other day my report to came positive. I too got admitted.

 

As I reached the hospital I was too shocked to see all patients were lying in bed in oxygen in Ventilator. But when I saw my wife and met her I feel so happy.as she saw me we both felt relaxed. After 1 day I felt so much pain in my body as I was not even able to walk .but my wife and I were in same room we both were supporting each other. But my fear didn't last here. I was thinking whether we will be going home back or not. As I saw many died even though they are too young .i was just praying to Lord. Please help me in this difficult situations. My wife got negative after 7 days medication and she was allowed to go back home, but as she gone .i got too afraid to stay alone in one room. My fever was still not coming down .and lots of negative thing was going in my mind. But by Grace of God after all I got the negative report and I was too allowed to go home. I was too happy but too weak .not even to express my gratitude to all those who helped me and my family in this difficult time. But still after recovery some time I get tremors of fear when I think of it. I will never forget this incidence in my life
