He stepped out of his glistening Jaguar XF and had lunch at the famous Chinese restaurant Beijing pie house before heading back to India. He arrived at the Bangalore international airport the next day and booked a cab home. His route consisted of an array of suburban areas. He was captivated by the tranquil view of the paddy fields en-route and requested the driver to stop for a while so he could click some pictures. While walking through the fields his pants were stained by the mud. He was incessantly cursing himself for the whole idea of taking photos. As he reached home, a few eyes lit up ! She was ecstatic when she saw him. As he freshened up, his mother prepared something he loved - rice with sambar. He guided himself to the dining table as all his senses were engulfed in the aroma. It was the first sumptuous meal he had had after a long time. He talked to his mother for sometime , hugged her and went to sleep as he was tired because of the jet lag. Just as he was about to sleep, a thought struck him and he realised the value of the mud, the rice he had and their connection. He understood that happiness was not about being content with yourself, it was about finding happiness in other's happiness. Hundreds of miles apart, a farmer danced in joy as it started to drizzle.
