Half Empty Or Half Full

Once there was a happy living family. Husband, wife and a boy were very joyful and friendly to others, especially the little boy. But as he grew up to a teenager, he started looking at things differently. He always criticized others and always highlighted their dark side. Once he had a hallucination of his deity. In the hallucination, he asked him to grant a wish that whatever he speaks comes true. On the next day, when he went to school, there was a new kid in the phrontistery. He laid an eye on him all day and found out his dark side too. He murmured to himself, “He is good at studies but more importantly, he is very weak and skinny. That is not good.” and instantly the boy fell to the ground and fainted. When he was taken to the school clinic, he said that suddenly he felt all his strength drain from his body. Todd knew what was going on. His wish has been granted. When he happily returned home, he was welcomed by his mother. After some time they were having their supper when her mother sneezed due to the pepper in the soup. Todd said “Mom you are sneezing y9ou will be very sick now” he forgot about his wish and the next day, his mother was so ill that she was hospitalized. Todd was very worried about his words so he did not speak the whole time. His mother’s condition was getting poorer second by second. Now Todd was so worried that he couldn’t stop the tears running down his cheeks all the way to the ground. Again he saw the hallucination but fainter this time. He said “Oh lord! Whatever you are, I learnt the lesson you tried to teach me. I now have realized that it is very important to turn the head towards the brighter side of life and always be silver-tongued to everyone. Now please my dear lord take this curse away from me and withdraw the pain of my mother that I caused.” The moment he ended his apology, there was a bright flash of energy and when Todd opened his eyes, he was at his home, with everything seeming normal. Someone earned a big lesson that day.

 

Moral: Always make an approach with a positive mind and try to accept the glass as half full rather than half empty.
