Farmer And Elephant
Farmer And Elephant
Once upon a time, there was a kind farmer. He lived in a small village name Bankli. The village was situated near a thick forest. He worked hard to earn his livelihood.
One day he was working in his field. He saw an elephant sitting by the fence of his field. He went to the elephant. He tried to feed it something but the elephant didn't eat anything. The farmer noticed that the elephant was not well. He tried his best to cure the elephant. After a few days, the elephant got well and returned to forest but he came to the farmer with a lotus flower in its trunk.
One day farmer was not well so he didn't come to the field to work. He sent his son to work in the field. The elephant came to give lotus flower to the farmer but he didn't see farmer there so he was disappointed and made a loud noise. It didn't offer lotus flower to him. Farmer's son couldn't understand the elephant. He thought the elephant might attack him and spoil his crop. Farmer's son hit the elephant with a spade. It felt very sad and came out of the field. The elephant didn't return to the forest and sat a few metres away from the field.
When the farmer's son went back home and informed his father about the elephant, the farmer became very sad and went with his son to the field to see the elephant. Farmer saw the elephant with tears in eyes. Farmer embraced elephant by holding it's trunk near his heart. The farmer offered him jaggery to eat. Elephant swallowed it with love and offered him lotus flower. Elephant returned to the forest. The farmer told his son animals don't believe in tit for tat like humans.
Moral-Give love and get love, never believe in tit for tat
