Excess Of Anything Is Bad!!!

As the saying rightly goes...Excess of anything is bad!

What might start as leisure soon becomes a hobby and then addiction.

But what is an addiction? Loving to no end? An obsession?

For some, it is cigarettes or alcohol or could be any substance abuse. In my case people, my mum would say reading books. Yes, books! Who were said to be our best friends but now they are called addiction! Addiction! What about it being a source of information, of knowledge? How can reading it in excess be bad for you in any way?

Well, reading isn't bad but reading all the time with no concept of time and space? That's where the lines blur... like every coin has two sides, head and tail, likewise what started as a blessing has now become a curse. As one man's food is another man's poison. For someone, it would be a necessity but for others, it would be out of loneliness, to find an escape from reality while others do it to drown their sorrows or misery. Well, an addict once beautifully quoted,

"Just because I am resisting the wine doesn't mean I can't appreciate the bouquet!"

Well at the end of the day nothing lasts longer than addiction!!!
