Envy

She looked at her friend,

Her eyes, full of dread.

Everything could fall apart,

Due to envy in her friend’s enemy’s heart.

She tried to warn her,

But everything seemed a blur.

All she tried to do was protect,

So that everything still remained perfect.

Envy won,

Leaving her friend torn.

All her friend did was trust,

Which in every relationship is a must.

Envy won, 

The sadness began.

All her friend could think was about the reason, 

Of why her enemy performed this treason.
