Ashu got up in a whiff. She looked through the darkness through the veils of the window. She felt as if she was rudely awakened. The sweat was running through her brows in spite of the cold weather.

She could see an eerie tree moving in the monsoon weather. There was a sudden thunder. Her heart stopped for a moment. She told herself that it would rain.

She was extremely tired and wanted to sleep. She could not sleep in spite of the fatigue.

Her mind became very alert trying to sense. The usual prayer self-popped “Oh God please help my kid”.

That was her prayerful self. She thought her deep prayers would be answered.

Yet she had a sudden unknown self “please kill my …”. Beyond which she dared not to think.

Who was that within me trying to kill my own child?

She was bewildered.

She had an instinct that warned, “Be careful, in a few years you will feel guilty of killing”.

Her higher self again prayed hopefully trying to ignore her instincts.

She was split and torn apart by fatigue, conflicts but she did not give up hope. She muttered her prayers and dozed to sleep.

She was a single mother and woke up to see her kid sleeping in the nearby room.
