Debits And Credits

The credits and debits balanced well to make up the year 2019. On the personal front a few upheavals with settling down in a new home and concomitant adjustments. Travel was big and a rewarding experience covering nine European countries and fourteen cities in a span of thirty eight days. And now with the year closing, we are again travelling in Malaysia, covering Penang, Melaka and Kuala Lumpur.

On the political front, the year has seen its ups and downs. The horrific raping and murder of a young doctor enraged the whole country and everyone lauded the way it was handled with the four rapists meeting their death in a police encounter. The CAA and the NRC met with criticism by some and welcomed by some. In my personal opinion, the move is to safeguard the interests of the country and not the way many are giving distorted interpretations. The Ayodhya resolution was the culminating point in the year's success chart and received in good spirit.

Overall a good year on both fronts.
