Day-10-The Shopping

Day-10-The Shopping

It's just day 10 and we are out of the stocks. Really?

Obviously it was not a matter of death but the habit of random shopping kept letting us busy writing a list. For a while, the thought of survival left us slightly scared too. But soon we realised, none of the items were actually the essentials, atleast not as of now.

Through social networking apps, I had found many contacts to get home delivery. Trust me our list was ready around 10 am and it took me almost 3 hours to get someone who could atleast talk with me. Either the numbers were busy, or off or wrong. Anyways, I found the one who was ready to talk. I ordered, paid and got the delivery, even before the expected time.

But all I am thinking about is, will I give the order in the same situation again? Probably not, the fear of the infection and the tedious shopping process made me kind of frustrated. and so maybe I will avoid ordering again. will think about the real needs. and indirectly it will save my earns from buying random things.

Yes, life has a very few necessities. and many of them are freely or easily available. Most of the time, we keep buying many things which are not really needed.

and if the process of shopping becomes complicated, we may restrict ourselves from buying unnecessarily. But in the era of online shopping, it is not possible. But we may change. We may think twice or thrice before clicking the Pay Now button.

Obviously it is not only about the savings. It is all about life style. Our greeds make us forget about our real needs.

The lock-down made me realise, sometimes less is more.
